What you need to know about buying Canadian Diamonds

Mined and Cut in Canada

The Diavik Diamond mine, located 300 kilometers northwest of Yellowknife is one of the world's leading diamond producers. After extraction, crystalline rough diamonds are documented and sent to Vancouver, B.C., where they are cut and polished to high exact standards. Each finished piece is laser inscribed with the Canadian Flag and issued its own serial number.

Certificate of Authenticity

The certificate verifies their birthplace and describes the brilliance of each diamond that has been mined and cut in Canada. Each one of our "Glacier Fire" Canadian Diamonds has a unique Diamond Identification number used to identify the diamonds qualifying factors and to trace the diamonds' original origin.

Canadian Diamond Code of Conduct

The Code establishes a minimum standard based on records and a chain of warranties required to validate a Canadian diamond claim. The Code allows Canadian diamonds to be traced from the Canadian mine to the diamond jewellery retailer, providing consumers with a method to authenticate Canadian diamonds sold by a Code member.

Conflict-Free Diamonds

We believe in and are committed to the action taken by the World Diamond Council to stop the sale of conflict diamonds. Our diamond suppliers use the 'Kimberley Process and System of Warranties' to ensure that all our diamond products are from legitimate sources, not involved in funding of conflict, and are in compliance with UN resolutions.
